LAKE OSWEGO, OR - February 20, 2008 - Timbercon, Inc., a fiber optic product and solution manufacturing company, today announced Dr. Justin Redd as its new Director of Engineering. Dr. Redd's responsibilities with the company will include new product design, product analysis and research.
Dr. Redd brings 20 years of experience in electrical engineering and optical research to Timbercon. "Justin's deep knowledge of Optoelectronics will enable Timbercon to continue to be at the forefront of innovation," said James Davies, chief operating officer for Timbercon. "Justin is a key addition to Timbercon, and we expect him to lead our company towards the next generation of photonic design."
Prior to Timbercon, Dr. Redd served as a director of Business Management at Maxim Integrated Products, OptoCon division. Previous to his work with Maxim, Dr. Redd served as a captain in the US Air Force, before earning his PhD in Electrical Engineering at Utah State, and is a well-published author in the fields of Optoelectronics and Connectivity.
