Fond du Lac, WI - Recently three new product lines have been added to the Marchant Schmidt family of innovative solutions for the food and dairy industry, they include: the Northwood Series: LC22 Cheese Cubing Machine; MSI Product Converging & Diverging solutions; and the MSI Waterjet Cutting Technology.

The LC22 Cheese Cubing Machine was first introduced at the Nantwich Cheese show in the U.K. back in July. The machine is designed to automatically size reduce cheese blocks or off cuts into cubes and feed them directly into a shredding machine. By integrating the LC22 Cuber with a shredder, it allows for a low cost solution and requires minimal floor space. The system can operate up to 2,000 lbs. per hour.

Marchant Schmidt also now offers a full line of Product Converging & Diverging solutions designed exclusively for the food & dairy industry. The convergers/divergers are designed to comply with the U.S.D.A. dairy specifications with an open side frame, removable switching mechanism, standoff bearing, wash-down duty motors and all stainless steel construction. MSI offers many different design configurations for the merging, spreading and transferring of food products.

In addition to the line of ultrasonic cutting systems, Marchant Schmidt is now including Waterjet Cutting Technology to their product list. Waterjet cutting is currently being used in many food applications including cutting frozen pizza, cakes, bread, fruit bars, candy bars, frozen pies, fruit, vegetables and meat. In collaboration with KMT Waterjet Systems, Marchant Schmidt can integrate waterjet cutting with their equipment. This technology offers a higher yield, with uninterrupted production by cutting food in a sanitary environment through a bacteria free, hygienic cutting process. Waterjet cutting advantages include cutting to any shape or size; perfect portion control; high production capacity; higher yield; and reduced product waste therefore creating a better quality product.
