At two upcoming Henry Stewart XVII Digital Asset Management conferences, one in New York and the other in London, Thomson (Euronext Paris: 18453; NYSE: TMS), will exhibit its latest Grass Valley(TM) systems and technology for managing workflows and streamlining the handling of audio and video content as digital files for the highest value. The New York conference takes place June 6 and 7, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and the London event will be held June 28 and 29 at the Radisson SAS Portman hotel.
As part of the vendor exhibit area at both conferences, Grass Valley will demonstrate its Content Share2(TM) service oriented architecture, which includes a workflow engine designed to manage workflow across the entire production and business chain.
In addition to its technology exhibit, Eric DuFossé, Director of Marketing Systems Solutions for the Grass Valley business within Thomson, will participate in a panel discussion entitled "How a new generation workflow engine will change content creation operations." At the New York conference, the panel will be held on June 7 at 11:00 a.m. The London time and venue are to be determined.
The multi-industry panel discussion will center on technology trends and new market needs, business agility in broadcast as a new paradigm, middleware operations, and the emergence of system oriented architectures focused on media.
Representing a completely new approach to the creation, commercialization, and delivery of content, ContentShare2 defines media workflows by their progress through the entire enterprise, instead of by how the media interacts with technical operations. The open software solution is unique in bringing together both business and creative systems to create a secure media asset and process management foundation, increasing project efficiency from creation through to distribution and archiving.
