Thomas L. Holder Inc Launches Online SolidWorks® Classes

Thomas L. Holder Inc launches its online SolidWorks® classes. Having taught AutoCAD® to hundreds of students in the 80's and 90's, Thomas Holder combined his educational background with real life machine drafting and design experience. After transitioning to SolidWorks, Mr. Holder has developed a series of online courses to provide prospective SolidWorks® operators with comprehensive live instruction.

Teaching engineering graphics at both the high school level and the college level, years of machine design/drafting experience and being engineering manager for 12 years at a local custom machine fabricator uniquely qualifies Mr. Holder as the right person to teach SolidWorks®. Exercises have been developed from his experiences (good and bad) learning SolidWorks while producing real drawings for real projects every day.

SolidWorks® instruction is broken down into short courses presented over several days so students can absorb the material for long term retention. Repetition, feedback and individual attention are the foundation for these classes.

Courses start with, of course, SW101-The Basics, which introduces the student to the SolidWorks® interface, numerous fundamental features, basic assembly concepts and basic drawing concepts. The subsequent course, SW-102- Next Level merely continues with more features and more in depth functionality of assemblies and drawings. Higher level courses on modeling, assemblies, drawings and other SolidWorks specialties like Sheetmetal and Weldments will also be offered.

Classes are taught using Gotomeeting.com a popular, intuitive service that utilizes VoIP or telephone conferencing for the voice portion of the class. For more information, class schedules or to register, go to www.tlholder.com/classes.htm or phone 610-873-8888.
