SANTA ROSA, Calif., Sept. 27, 2010 - Thermal Technology, a leading manufacturer of vacuum and high temperature furnace systems, recently shipped a 10-ton laboratory hot press to a customer in Eurasia. The hot press, model HP20-4560, will be used for research and development applications at a major educational institution. This customized hot press has a graphite hot zone rated to 2300°C, inert gas capability and a diffusion pumped vacuum system.

Thermal Technology's hot press systems are designed for the simultaneous application of high temperature and high pressures. Primary applications include densification of powdered materials, diffusion bonding of solid components and processing of fibrous composites.
