MECHANIC FALLS, ME - Electro Static Technology announces a lifetime bearing protection guarantee for any new motor equipped with its AEGIS SGR Bearing Protection Ring(TM). When the SGR is installed properly on a new AC motor (up to 100HP/75kw), the company guarantees the motor will not fail from bearing damage due to electrical "fluting." In the event of such a failure, Electro Static Technology will pay to replace the bearings (up to 35% of the original motor cost). No other bearing protection system carries such a guarantee.
If not diverted, high-frequency shaft currents and circulating currents induced by variable frequency drives discharge through motor bearings. With multiple rows of conductive microfibers that completely surround the motor shaft and provide literally millions of discharge points, the AEGIS SGR Bearing Protection Ring safely channels these harmful currents away from bearings to ground. Highly reliable and maintenance-free, it prevents damage that could otherwise cause motor failure, unplanned downtime, costly repairs, and lost revenues.
