The Metro Group Deploys Smartcool Energy Efficiency Technology to Wholesale Outlet Stores Across Poland
VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Smartcool Systems Inc. [http://smartcool.net] (TSX-V: SSC) is pleased to announce the latest deployment of its ESM(TM) to 21 Makro Cash & Carry wholesale outlet stores in Poland. Makro is a division of the Metro Asset Management Group, the fourth largest retailer in the world.
This latest rollout is a direct result of a successful pilot project by Bricks & Bits, Smartcool's Eastern European distributor. In the pilot project, the ESM was installed on the refrigeration and air conditioning system in a Makro outlet, producing energy savings of 174,214 kWh for the store. The energy cost savings that resulted from this program gave Makro a return on investment in 20 months.
