Press release date: April 26, 2010

Jeannette, PA , U.S.A - The Elliott Group announced today that it will build six compressor trains for the Asab 3 gas development project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The project, awarded by engineering procurement contractor Technip, will expand capacity at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries' (GASCO) Asab 0 facility to process an additional 150 million cubic feet per day of sales gas from the existing Asab, Shah and Sahil oil fields.

"Elliott compressors are already operating successfully at the Asab site," said Oliver Conger, Elliott's Sales Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, "enabling us to demonstrate the added value that Elliott can bring not only in compression solutions, but in also understanding the unique compression requirements of this project. Maintaining consistency for the operators is an added benefit."

Elliott will provide six compressor trains driven by variable frequency motors for low pressure service, feed gas service and diversion gas service. The diversion compressor will increase the flexibility of the Asab gas processing network by providing diversion capability between the Asab 0 and Asab I/II plants.

"Elliott's strength in compression technology and experience in gas processing will help GASCO achieve exceptional performance, energy savings and process control throughout the Asab complex," said David Baker, Elliott's Regional Director for Engineered Products. "We are very pleased to have won this important contract."

The Asab 3 project is part of a larger GASCO initiative which includes increased oil production from Abu Dhabi onshore oil operations (ADCO) facilities currently being developed. Elliott will build and test the Asab 3 compressor trains at its manufacturing facility in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA, with project startup scheduled for late 2012. Elliott will also provide lube oil and buffer gas systems for each train.
