CINCINNATI, OH (June 23, 2009)-The APEX(TM) Screener from ROTEX Global, LLC, delivers increased uptime and yield with the same process efficiency and gyratory-reciprocating motion of the ROTEX® Screener. The APEX Screener is a self-contained, high-capacity production screening machine that incorporates new, ergonomically designed performance and service features for quick and easy maintenance, cleaning, and screen changes.
The same efficient features found on the ROTEX® Screener are standard features on the APEX(TM) Screener, including gyratory-reciprocating motion, positive screen cleaning, bouncing balls to reduce blinding, and inlet/outlet connections. All models use pre-tensioned, lightweight (less than 10 lbs.) screen panels that require only one person to maintain. In process circuits, these easy-to-change decks save time when SGNs change or require adjustment. A patented cam lift system locks ball trays and panels in place, so complete deck replacement takes only minutes. Access is through hinged doors on the sides, where resilient seals prevent cross-contamination and leakage.
The long stroke and low-frequency motion causes rapid stratification without agitation and remixing, thus delivering consistent particle size at high rates. Mesh cleaning balls bounce against the screen mesh, providing aggressive blinding control that helps increase process uptime. Nearly horizontal decks reduce product loss, so overall yield can exceed 90%.
