Hudson, MA, May 20, 2009 - Test Devices Inc. (TDI), a dynamic rotational testing company that provides state-of-the-art materials testing services and products, today announced that it has appointed Dr. Hiroaki Endo, PhD as Engineering Manager.

Dr. Endo will be leading TDI's engineering team, directing all aspects of test & part design, analysis and test engineering, as well as overseeing technology research and development efforts. Dr. Endo's responsibilities will also include managing and consulting on testing programs for a number of high-profile TDI customers, and acting as a key adviser to TDI president Robert L. Murner in determining the company's strategic decisions and goals.

Dr. Endo has designed and developed specialized high-speed rotor integrity tests that replicate the performance of jet engines under real-world operational conditions. These tests provide vital data for evaluating the design & performance of critical engine components.

Prior to joining Test Devices Inc., Dr. Endo worked as a member of the Critical Parts Lifing & Integrity team at Rolls-Royce PLC as an expert in engine overspeed analysis. Dr. Endo has extensive previous mechanical and manufacturing engineering experience, and a PhD in mechanical engineering from The University of New South Wales. He has published and presented more than 10 articles and papers in journals and at industry conferences.
