Schaffner EMC, Inc.

Edison, NJ, 08837
USA

Press release date: December 1, 2006

EDISON, N.J., December 1, 2006 -- Following the recent transfer of Schaffner Test Systems to a group of investors headed by the division's former manager, Johannes Schmid, the new company began conducting business as Teseq on November 27, 2006. The Luterbach, Switzerland-based global company will have its U.S. headquarters in Edison, N.J.

Teseq will now fulfill Schaffner's role as a leading developer and provider of instrumentation and test systems for EMC emission and immunity, and will continue to maintain and strategically expand the current Schaffner EMC test equipment line. Teseq has also retained the entire Schaffner Test Systems' staff to guarantee continuity in terms of expertise and service quality.

"This is an exciting time for us to refocus our efforts and strengthen Teseq's position as a leading provider of advanced test solutions for EMC," said Johannes Schmid, president of Teseq. "Schaffner gave us a great foundation on which to base our company. Building on the former division's success, we'll continue to supply our customers with the quality products they have come to expect, in addition to making further advancements and developments in the field of EMC emission and immunity."

Schmid and other key employees seized the opportunity to propose what has become a successful management buyout of the division last year, after Schaffner decided to focus on its components business and divest its test systems activities.

Teseq will focus on its core business of supplying EMC test systems and will now have the ability to give greater attention to innovation in the area of research and development. The company will also continue to be active on a global scale and will maintain its own sales and service bases in close proximity to its clients.
