Tennant® FaST® 965 Heavy Duty Degreaser Cleaner Earns National Floor Safety Institute Certification

MINNEAPOLIS-November 29, 2007-Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC), a world leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing solutions that create a cleaner, safer world, today announces that its Tennant brand of FaST (Foam-activated Scrubbing Technology) 965 Heavy Duty Degreaser Cleaner has earned National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) "high traction" certification. NFSI "high traction" certification is applied to walkway materials, floor maintenance products and floor coatings that result in higher traction floors that increase slip resistance at least 20 percent to reduce the risk of slip-and-fall accidents. With the certification of FaST 965, all three Tennant-branded FaST detergents, including FaST 365 and FaST 665, have NFSI high-traction certification.

FaST is Tennant Company's patented foam-activated scrubbing technology that uses 70 percent less water, requires 90 percent less detergent than traditional cleaners, and removes both soil and old detergent residues to create safer floors that help reduce the risk of slip-and-fall accidents.

"At Tennant Company, we list safety among the top five keys to environmental stewardship that we strive to support with our products and technologies. By securing NFSI high-traction certification on our FaST 965 cleaner, our customers can depend on all Tennant FaST cleaners to help them create safer environments for those who frequent their buildings," said Steven Coopersmith, vice president of global marketing with Tennant Company. According to Coopersmith, Tennant Company strives to manufacture products that conserve resources, reduce detergents, increase safety, reduce noise, and improve air quality.

Tennant FaST 365, 665, and 965 also have Green Seal Environmental Standard GS-37 certification, which identifies them as environmentally conscious cleaning detergents. All three Tennant FaST cleaners as well as Nobles® FaST MP and MPD also have NSF International Approval (A1 certification) for use as general cleaners on all surfaces in and around food processing areas, which means they neither exhibit a noticeable odor nor leave a visible residue. Finally, all five Tennant and Nobles FaST cleaning detergents also meet the European Detergents Directive EC 648/2004, a rigid environmental guideline that mandates that the surfactants in detergents be at least 60 percent biodegradable within 28 days of use.

FaST 965 was developed for industrial use on petroleum grease and oil. It has also been found to also be highly effective in cleaning animal fats and vegetable oils such as those found in food processing and manufacturing facilities.
