Teneros CEO to Address Email Continuity at Data Protection Summit

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 1 / -- Teneros founder and CEO, Steve Lewis, has been selected to speak at the first annual Data Protection Summit, which will take place March 12-15 in Irvine, Calif. He will address an audience of CIOs and IT executives with a presentation entitled Six Questions an IT Administrator Should Ask to Assure Email Continuity. Lewis will also chair a roundtable breakout discussion group on the topic of Mission Critical Email Continuity.

The Data Protection Summit is an outgrowth of last year's Information Lifecycle Management Summit, which was the first stand-alone conference in the United States dedicated entirely to the management of data throughout its lifecycle. The new event is designed to provide attendees with practical information on the current state of data protection. Key topics to be addressed include:

o Business continuity
o Disaster recovery
o High-availability systems
o Backup and restore systems

Lewis' presentation will be part of a tutorial called Developing a Data Protection Plan for Your Organization. Other panelists include Fred Villella, president of System Defenses International, Rob Peglar, Xiotech, Michael Kerman, Overland, Ken Horner, Bakbone and Bob Barnes, IBM.

"Teneros is driving email continuity forward by providing the first appliance to deliver five nines uptime for Microsoft Exchange," said Lance Leventhal, program chairperson of the Data Protection Summit. "This is a company whose innovation is truly changing the market by making zero downtime a reality for mid-market enterprises. The majority of our conference attendee companies are mid-market enterprises, and we are confident that Mr. Lewis' presentation will be valuable for their IT planning."

"When email is down, everyone loses," said Lewis. "Research shows that the most prevalent causes of end-user email downtime are server failure, human error, SAN failure and data corruption -downtime that can be completely avoided with proper continuity planning. The Data Protection Summit is an excellent venue for educating mid-market IT administrators on the options that will keep their email up and running 24X7, and save them from downtime productivity losses that impact their companies' bottom lines."

Teneros launched its first Application Continuity Appliance at DEMOfall 2005 and recently added remote disaster recovery to its email continuity appliance lineup with the Teneros Application Continuity Appliance(TM) for disaster recovery of Microsoft® Exchange.

Lewis' tutorial will take place on March 15 from 2-5 p.m. at the Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport. Registration information and conference details can be found at: www.dataprotectionsummit.com/.
