ALMELO, The Netherlands, October 9/ / -- At Milipol in Paris, the leading international trade fair in the field of state security, which will be held from 9-12 October 2007, TenCate (Euronext: KTC) and DSM will jointly present a new armour product in the TenCate Aresshield(R) family. The product is made with the new innovative Dyneema(R) HB50 from DSM Dyneema, which makes it possible to provide lighter protection against a range of projectiles. At the same time, this material affords greater comfort to the wearer due to a very light weight.
TenCate Advanced Armour is a part of the TenCate composites group and has formed a co-operation with DSM Dyneema in the use of Dyneema HB50 for specific programs. This has given TenCate a unique product in the market, which will enable us to further increase our competitive edge.
The collaboration between TenCate Advanced Armour and DSM Dyneema is founded on the many years of knowledge that both companies have in this specialist field. DSM Dyneema has an extremely good track record in this market.
