Telemetrics Features High-Performance, Cost-Efficient Camera Robotics Solutions at CABSAT

Camera Robotics Solutions Proven to Deliver Added Value

Dubai, UAE – The Telemetrics exhibit at this year's CABSAT show is featuring a variety of innovative camera robotics and control systems that demonstrate how these high-performance, cost-efficient products support industry needs for enhanced production capabilities. Highlighted products include the TG-4 TeleGlide® Track System; EP5 Televator®; PT-RM-1 Pan/Tilt; and RCCP-1 Remote Camera Control System.

"Our camera robotics and control systems are deployed in a wide range of broadcast and production studios around the globe," said Anthony Cuomo, President, Telemetrics Inc. "The widespread deployment of our camera robotics systems is a testimony to the proven efficiency, performance and quality of these products."

Telemetrics continues to add to its comprehensive line of camera robotics hardware and software systems. New products on display at Telemetrics' exhibit in Hall 4, Stand C4-21 at CABSAT include:

Telemetrics' TG4 Teleglide Track System may be either ceiling or floor mounted with curved track sections and stable support for elevating/lowering Telemetrics' Pan/Tilt Heads via Telemetrics Televator Elevating Pedestals. The TG4 is full servo-controlled, providing accurate preset positioning and repeatable motion as well as integrated cable management and soft electronic end stops. Additionally, the TG4 is smoother and quieter than previous systems or any competitive track systems on the market today.

Telemetrics' EP5 Televator® Remotely Controlled, Motorized, Telescoping Camera Mount adds pedestal height control to the Telemetrics pan/tilt product line. The unit can be configured on a floor, flex track or ceiling mount for added versatility. Extending to a maximum height of 65 inches (1667mm), the EP5 features an acceleration speed ranging from 0.2 to 5 inches/second (0.5 – 127mm/sec). It is capable of convergent pan/tilt/zoom/focus/elevation presets. A virtual studio option allows the EP5 Televator to be used in virtual studio applications.

Telemetrics' Enterprise Camera Control System provides flexible architecture for a wide range of networked or stand-alone camera automation applications. The system includes the Robotic Camera Control Panel (RCCP-1), Camera Shader Panel (CSP) and Enterprise Database Control Software (EDCS).

The network capable RCCP-1 Robotic Camera Control Panel supports Ethernet transmission with unlimited control locations. Camera control and functionality as well as control of auxiliary devices are provided through the panel's integrated touch screen graphical user interface and joystick controls.

The CSP Camera Shader Panel features a touchscreen interface with controls for iris, master pedestal and shading as well as CCU functions of major camera brands including master gain, white gain, black level, gamma knee, masking and test bars.

EDCS software provides enterprise level camera control utilizing a SQL database with configurable access control, for seamless operation between multiple controllers. The system also provides remote access to all settings and functionality from any networked control location.

The PT-RM-1 pan/tilt head features 360° movement with a slip-ring option, complemented by heavy duty bearings and a belt drive system to help ensure fast fluid movement. The built-in fiber system is compatible with duplex single-mode fiber optic cable. Robotics controls operate via RS-232, RS-422 or 10/100 BaseT Ethernet. Control of the lens is analog or digital. A serial camera control interface for most Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Ikegami and Hitachi cameras is available. The PT-RM-1 may be installed upright or inverted and can support a dynamic load of up to 35 pounds.
