- Telefonica Gains Full Policy Control Capabilities From Acision to Differentiate Mobile Broadband Services
Acision, a world leader in mobile data, today announced that it will be working with Telefonica Group, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, to install key elements of Acision Broadband Mobility Suite for policy management. As part of the deal, which will be rolled out in Europe and Latin America, Acision will provide a sophisticated policy engine including Tekelec's Policy and Charging Rule Function (PCRF) platform. This will provide Telefonica with increased control over its mobile broadband services enabling real-time intelligence of its network resources and conditions, to allow the operator to differentiate its data services for specific users.
By deploying Acision Broadband Mobility Suite, Telefonica will have a cost effective and scalable solution that will not only help it improve the overall quality of its data services, by addressing network congestion, but will also give customers the option to choose from a selection of differentiated data services, as well as personalised price plans that can be set according to individual customers' needs.
