WHAT: The Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) established national goals for reducing U.S. reliance on foreign oil by producing biofuels and bringing new advanced technologies to the market. The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and Fuels America will host a roundtable teleconference for reporters, with advanced biofuel companies discussing their measurable progress and milestones toward meeting these goals. The industry is awaiting proposed RFS rules for biofuel production and use in 2013.
