Telamon Receives NMSDC AT&T Success Partner Medallion

At the National Minority Business Leadership Awards on May 22, 2013 in New York, Telamon was awarded with the ATT Success Partner Medallion.

AT&T and Telamon began their relationship in 1992 when Telamon was selected to participate in a Total Applied Quality Management course. The course provided guidance on topics such as financial investment and professional development. Telamon was one of the first 40 diversity-owned companies to participate in the training. Telamon was also one of the first minority suppliers to be awarded a prime contract under AT&T’s Target Market Opportunity Program, an initiative championed by AT&T leadership, procurement and supplier diversity. Telamon’s involvement in the program positioned it for growth with AT&T.

Telamon continues to support numerous AT&T projects and initiatives, including the build out of AT&T’s LTE wireless network and U-verse, AT&T’s next generation entertainment service. Telamon works on AT&T Risers (an intra-building cabling system that supports AT&T Enterprise customers), optical networks, the build out of wireless telecom shelters and cabinets, the deployment of new or upgraded cell sites, and various aspects of AT&T’s regional telephone business.

With a reputation for on-time delivery, Telamon works closely with various AT&T regions and divisions to develop delivery services designed to reduce cycle time, improve operating costs, and position AT&T for high-performance service delivery to its customers.

In 2012, Telamon was added as an Operating Territory Vendor (OTV), performing the critical work of engineering and installing transport and power equipment for the AT&T wireless network. Telamon continues to provide Juniper Networks (an AT&T prime supplier) with distribution VAR support for a 22-state IPAG  deployment with AT&T.
