Tekni-Films Wins Abbott Supplier Excellence Award for Quality Services and Product
SOMERVILLE, NJ - Tekni-Films, a Tekni-Plex Company, has been named a winner of the coveted Abbott Supplier Excellence Award for its exceptional contributions to the global health care company in 2005. Tekni-Films was chosen as one of 19 winners from over 25,000 worldwide suppliers for its outstanding performance and continuous improvement in supplying materials, equipment, and services.
Michael Franklin, Tekni-Plex Vice President and Craig Taylor, Tekni-Plex Eastern Region Sales Manager received the award on behalf of Tekni-Plex employees at Abbott U.S. headquarters in Abbott Park, Illinois, earlier this month.
The Abbott Supplier Excellence Award program began in 1991 and utilizes an assessment process that combines performance data along with feedback from internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, material control, quality, engineering, administrative services, and select others. The program identifies Abbott's highest performing suppliers by assessing performance in the categories of logistics, quality, service, cost leadership and process improvement.
