FTS Leap(TM) Policy Control to be incorporated into Tech Mahindra's LTE lab ecosystem
PUNE, India - Tech Mahindra, a global systems integrator and business transformation consulting services firm exclusively focused on the communications industry and FTS, a global provider of billing, customer care and policy control solutions for communications and content service providers, today announced that they have formed a policy control and LTE partnership. The strategic alliance will incorporate FTS' Leap Policy Control [http://www.fts-soft.com/category/policy-control ] into Tech Mahindra's LTE Packet Core Lab for both internal and partner solutions. With a strong focus on technology and R&D, the Lab will now include FTS' products as part of its policy control (PCRF) offering.
As data traffic continues to grow, one of the key challenges telecom operators face in delivering broadband is to manage network congestion without marginalizing their subscribers and at the same time monetize network traffic, improving subscriber-facing activities and increasing ROI from network investment. Policy control enables the telecom operators to set policies to help manage the increased network traffic in real-time, whilst at the same time, allowing for increased marketing capabilities as additional personalization can be achieved and effectively managed in real-time, resulting in an improved customer experience.
Through the partnership with FTS, Tech Mahindra offers a complete end-to-end policy control solution to network operators as part of its new Mobile Packet Core (LTE) Lab, in which Tech Mahindra is developing a LTE packet core ecosystem solution with in-house developed simulators and stacks. FTS' Leap Policy Control and billing solutions will be integrated into Tech Mahindra's end-to-end solution, alongside its other partners in this area for interoperability requirements. Tech Mahindra's LTE Wireless Infrastructure lab will leverage the FTS policy control solutions in meeting the telco industry's standard requirements on regulating the policy and bandwidth control usage scenarios.
FTS' Leap Policy Control is a dynamic business control engine that enables operators to adapt service and network behavior in real-time in response to customer interaction, helping operators resolve traffic growth issues without impacting on the user experience.
It monitors and manages traffic and subscribers with easy-to-implement policy control rules which are pre-integrated with online charging and the subscribers' data.
