Memphis, TN - May 2012 - MCR Safety's Innovations Technology Center (ITC) opened late 2010 to provide for ANSI/ISEA safety standards testing data on gloves, glasses, and garments. Our lab serves as an important component of our quality control and product inspections by providing data to assure compliance with product specifications.
Since early 2011 our ITC lab has grown in popularity for its ability to provide competitive analysis and quantitative endorsement of our product quality. We encourage our distributors to take advantage of this resource by sending us competitor safety gear for testing. We will provide test results and recommended equivalent products.
The ITC lab uses specific testing equipment to verify ANSI/ISEA abrasion, cut, tear, and puncture standards for hand protection. Additional testing equipment such as our cut test chamber (similar to DuPont's "Torture Chamber") and a grip tester provide visual as well as physical measurement of product performance.
A crowd favorite is the high impact eyewear testing equipment. The test captures your attention while substantiating the impact levels of our glasses.
Garments and gloves are evaluated for repeated laundering, color fastness, and durability. Verification of optimum silk screening inks and coatings for our private labeling program is also performed in our ITC lab.
Tours of the ITC lab are incorporated into our regular Distributor Training sessions and are available whenever you have the opportunity to visit us here in Memphis.
