TURCK Inc. announces that levelprox, a non-invasive ultrasonic sensor that provides point level detection of liquids through metal containers, now has FM Approval. The T50 (316L stainless steel housing with an integrated sanitary connection) and the M30 (standard 30 mm barrel) models are both approved for Class I, Division 2 applications when used with the appropriate mounting brackets and lockfast® device.
levelprox transfers a high frequency ultrasonic pulse through a metal container wall and compares the analyzed signal to the empty and full conditions previously programmed via an easy-to-use teach button. This makes levelprox sensors ideal for high pressure, hazardous or hygienic applications. Both levelprox models offer dual operating modes for use in hard to solve level applications, such as when a high viscosity liquid coats the container walls or when stirring devices are used inside the container.
