TRFA Announces Webinar Series on Thermal and Rheological Characterization of Thermosets

Glen Ellyn, IL - The Thermoset Resin Formulators Association (TRFA) has announced an important series of six educational webinars designed specifically to help industry participants learn the basics of thermal and rheology analysis plus more advanced techniques. All webinars will be presented by TA Instruments.

Thermal analysis encompasses a group of techniques of which a property of the materials is monitored against time or temperature in a specific atmosphere. Four of the most basic thermal analysis techniques include thermogravimetry (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermomechanical analysis (TMA) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). In the first three webinars, beginning April 1 and continuing on April 8 and April 20, the theory and application of TGA and DSC will be covered. The fourth and fifth webinars on May 6 and May 20 cover rheology basics including the fundamental terms used in rheology and tests that are performed on DMA instruments. The final webinar on June 3 will review practical application of all the methods on thermoset systems.

TRFA's webinar format allows industry professionals to tap the latest technical knowledge with the added advantages of a time- and cost-efficient vehicle for education & training. In addition, cost for the webinars is based per site, not per person. A number of professionals from one company can participate at the same cost from a single site. TRFA has designed the webinars for chemists, formulators, research and development associates, engineers, and technicians to attend.

All webinars begin at 11:00 a.m. ET and last one hour. Webinars can be purchased individually at $99 per site for TRFA members ($199 per site for non-members), or take advantage of special pricing on the complete series and register for the webinar series 6-pack to attend all webinars at a discounted package rate of $499 per site for TRFA members ($899 per site for non-members).

Complete information and registration is available on the TRFA website, www.trfa.org.

TRFA is comprised of thermoset formulators, raw material suppliers, distributors, equipment manufacturers, manufacturer sales representatives of materials or equipment, importers of raw materials or processing or other equipment, consulting firms and academic institutions serving industries which include adhesives, coatings, civil engineering applications, electrical laminates, composites, tooling, castings and moldings.
