Press release date: September 12, 2008

At Pack Expo, November 9 - 13, 2008 at Chicago's McCormick Place, Booth E 6504

CHICAGO, IL (November 9-13, 2008) - tna North America, Inc., a leading supplier of turn-key, integrated packaging and processing solutions for food production companies worldwide, will display several new technologies including tna's new 528 multihead scale, the new tna robag® 3 (VFFS) bagger integrated with "kanga jaw" technology, and the new tna roflo® 3 with "switcheroo" and "erector" technology at Pack Expo, November 9-13, 2008 at Chicago's McCormick Place, Booth E 6504.

The new tna 528 multihead scale is a reinvention of the twin scale. The advanced design includes a larger center diameter which equalizes the distance from every load cell to bag. This uniformity eliminates inconsistent speeds during product transfer. The result is greater accuracy at higher speeds up to 300BPM (i.e. 150BPM per side) bagging. In addition to higher speeds, the new tna 528 multihead scale can be integrated with the tna robag® 3 to produce two different sizes and shape bags simultaneously including pillow pack, block and quarto bottom bags.

The tna roflo® 3 is the world's first totally reversible, gateless transfer and distribution system. A production system with multiple products that would normally require a series of dedicated lines can now be serviced by one tna roflo® 3 system that can reduce capital outlay by up to 40 percent.

Using servo-driven, linear motion and modular components, the tna roflo® 3's conveying speed and direction are controlled electronically on a touch key pad. Coined "switcheroo" technology, tna's roflo® 3 bi-directional feed allows its stainless steel pans to be tilted or raised up and down to accommodate one or several lines and various configurations. In addition, the "erector" technology lifts a selected pan module to separate the line and completely eliminates the possibility of cross contamination of product between the pans on multi-product lines. See video: http://dca-dcpr.com/video/tna/roflo.html

The new generation tna robag® 3 combines high speeds with even faster batch changeover abilities and a broader choice of bag formats. tna's robag® 3 with new "kanga jaw" technology creates high quality gusset bags on any tna robag® 3 machine. For the first time, operators can switch between producing pillow pack and block or quarto bottom without investing in new bagging machinery.
