Swift Filters to Build New Expanded Manufacturing Facility in Oakwood Village
OAKWOOD VILLAGE, OH - Swift Filters, Inc. has announced that it will build a new 42,500 square foot manufacturing plant in Oakwood Village, OH. The new facility will be more than triple the size of the company's current plant, also in Oakwood. With the expansion, the company projects that it will add 36 new jobs over the next three years and more than double its current payroll.
The announcement was made by Swift, Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald, and Oakwood Village officials. The County provided a $1,260,000 loan to the company for use in the expansion of the new facility. The new facility will allow the company to consolidate their facilities into one location and also meet the recent demand for their products.

Founded in 1957 by Edwin Swift, Sr., Swift Filters has grown rapidly in recent years. In 2011, the company was named the winner of its seventh straight Weatherhead 100 Award as one of the fastest-growing companies in Northeast Ohio. The company designs and manufacturers high quality industrial filter elements, including both custom-engineered and replacement filter products. For over 40 years it has been certified as an approved source for the U. S. Department of Defense and private aerospace manufacturers. Its proprietary products include SwiftGreen(TM) filter elements, which are sold worldwide to the wind turbine industry for gearbox lubrication.
