Press release date: August 17, 2012
Indianapolis, Ind.- Sutton-Garten Co., a leader in independent welding equipment, supplies and gases in the Midwest, is proud to announce the purchase of a brand-new dry ice production machine that doubles its previous capacity.
The new Coldjet P1500 replaces a P750 that Sutton-Garten had previously owned, and will dramatically increase the company's capacity and also allow Sutton-Garten a faster response time.
The Coldjet P1500 can produce on demand up to 1,200 pounds per hour of consistent, high-density dry ice pellets or nuggets, using a source of liquid carbon dioxide and electrical power. Pellets are manufactured in both 3mm and 15 mm sizes and shipped the same day as they are produced, to ensure their customers receive the freshest ice possible.
In 2008 Sutton-Garten began production of dry ice pellets for use in shipping, and dry ice blasting applications.
Purchasing the P1500 is part of Sutton-Garten's plans to expand beyond its Central Indiana base, company president Pat Garten said. Sutton-Garten is moving into other states like Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois and Ohio, as the 96-year-old company continues to grow and expand.
Sutton-Garten, headquartered in Indianapolis, began delivering bulk liquid carbon dioxide to beverage and industrial customers in 2008, and now also offers an expanded welding training area, offering welding classes and certifications.
