Suntron Corporation, a leader in integrated electronics manufacturing systems (EMS) and embedded computing solutions, announces it has recently received a successful audit from a major defense company.
The audit assessed Suntron's facility, personnel, and processes, and concluded that Suntron has very good equipment and a very experienced and educated Process, Test Engineering and QA staff. Suntron was analyzed in the following categories: facility and equipment capabilities, receiving inspection process, AS9102, materials control and traceability, manufacturing floor, test processes, personnel training, calibration equipment, and supplier base controls. Suntron received high marks in each category.
"I am very pleased with the findings of this audit," stated Tom Anderson, Suntron Plant Manager. "They confirm that Suntron is an ideal contract manufacturer for the defense industry."
The recent audit builds on years of service to the military and defense industries. Dedicated project teams work with defense customers on a range of products produced in a high mix, low to medium volume manufacturing environment, while Suntron's best-in-class technologies and superior manufacturing capabilities have been utilized for box build, printed circuit board assembly, and large scale system integration.
As one of the very few Nadcap-certified EMS companies in the U.S., Suntron is well-placed to provide cost-competitive solutions for high reliability defense products. Its premier defense qualifications also include ITAR and AS9100 certifications.
