Suncor Stainless Now Offers Easy Sling Customization with Their New Master Link

Plymouth, MA – Suncor Stainless, Inc. has designed a new master link to offer their customers an easier way to create custom slings. It will allow for sling creation in the field using minimal equipment. This link features a gap in the body with the missing portion included in order to weld on once the sling components have been added. This will offer Suncor's marine and industrial customers an easy way to create and utilize sling assemblies.

Usually when creating a sling assembly, master links are cut and stretched in order to add components and sling legs. Once these additions are in place, the sling must be welded back together. Suncor's new master link removes the cutting and stretching process and creates a customized sling with minimal tools and effort. This link features a 1" to 3" gap that enables the addition of large size chain, links, thimbles, etc. "Once the sling configuration is completed, simply weld on the supplied section with 100% penetration," says Jim Storrer, Engineering Manager at Suncor Stainless. "We decided to manufacture a master link with this gap so we could give our customers the option of skipping a few steps and quickening the sling assembly process." Suncor's new master links are offered in sizes ranging from 3/8" to 1-1/4" and are made from grade 316 stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and durability.

Suncor Stainless has a network of dealers throughout the United States and Canada that offer these unwelded master links and other quality industrial hardware. Please contact a Suncor sales representative to find a dealer near you. To learn more about Suncor's products, please visit or call (800) 394-2222.
