Suncor Stainless Manufactures Assemblies Built Tough for Demanding Towing Applications.
Plymouth, MA – Suncor Stainless, Inc. has begun to manufacture stainless steel towing bridles for heavy duty marine towing applications. These bridles feature 3 heavy duty thimbles attached to a master link. Suncor's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility has taken the leg work out of this assembly by offering a pre-made towing bridle.
The new towing bridles are made from grade 316 stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and durability. They feature a 1" or 1-1/4" master link with 3 heavy duty thimbles ranging in sizes from 1/2" to 1-1/4". The master links are integral forged, not welded, for added strength and are stamped with the size and working load limit. The heavy duty thimbles meet Federal Specification: FF-T-276B, Type III (except 316 stainless steel). "We've always sold master links and thimbles separately since Suncor's existence," says David Morgan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Suncor Stainless. "In the past, customers have approached us about manufacturing custom bridles. Due to their popularity, we thought it should be something we offer to our marine customers on a regular basis." This new towing bridle is designed for use with today's new high strength line such as Dyneema and similar products. It is ideal for heavy marine towing applications such as yachts, towing large tenders, work boat and barge applications.
