Sun Chemical's SolarFlex® Nova Delivers Improvements to Scientific Games

ST MARY CRAY , UK - August 18, 2009 - Leeds-based Scientific Games, the world's largest lottery card producer, is benefiting from significant cost savings as a result of utilising Sun Chemical's recently launched UV flexo narrow-web inks, SolarFlex® Nova.

Designed to work with the latest presses, Sun Chemical's SolarFlex Nova offers unrivalled benefits of high colour strength, cure and transference. These inks, along with the Colorsat ink management and dispensing system also from Sun Chemical, is allowing Scientific Games to increase efficiency and productivity, following the installation of their new BHS 18 unit press.

Mark Scholey, Managing Director, Scientific Games Limited, said: "We have been working with Sun Chemical for over 15 years and we remain as impressed with them now as we were on day one. In our market, which requires constant investment in technology, Sun Chemical remains one of our most crucial partners by meeting and exceeding our needs.

"We've recently installed a new state of the art BHS 18 unit press and needed an ink that provided a high level of quality, performance and colour integrity. It was soon clear that SolarFlex Nova fitted the bill which Sun Chemical introduced to us earlier in 2009. The change-over was quick and straightforward and all existing settings, such as the colour profiles, were transferred very easily. The customer support we received from Sun Chemical has always been superb."

Tony Palmer, Sales Director, Sun Chemical, said: "We're delighted to be working with Scientific Games. They are a shining example where using quality, innovative solutions, businesses can become one of the leading players within their sector. In this case, Scientific Games is gaining from Sun Chemical's extensive expertise in ink technology to make significant cost savings while maintaining quality and output."
