Michigan City, IN November 1, 2007-Sullair Corporation's rotary screw air compressors have been awarded the Verification Seal from the Compressed Air and Gas Institute's (CAGI) Performance Verification Program. The program provides a uniform and commercially practical means of verifying participants' claimed ratings, including airflow capacities and efficiencies.
The CAGI Performance Verification Program covers lubricated rotary screw compressors from 50-200 horsepower. Sullair earned the seal for its full line of compressors in this horsepower range.
"We are proud to endorse this program and to display the CAGI verification seal. Performance and energy efficiency are top priorities for the buyer, and the buyer truly benefits when the stated specs are on the mark," says Jeff Elmore, Sullair's Director of Engineering, Product Management and Business Development.
According to CAGI, "Recognizing that many times consumers make comparisons of products prior to speaking with any company representatives, the member companies of the Compressed Air and Gas Institute believed it was critical that consumers felt assured the information they were utilizing was verified to be accurate."
Participation in the program is voluntary and open to all manufacturers, whether CAGI members or not. CAGI contracts with an independent testing laboratory, Intertek Testing Services, which selects and tests samples of equipment on a regular and random basis to verify that actual performance meets the manufacturer's certified published performance ratings. The ratings certified by the program are shown on standardized datasheets that can appear on participating companies' websites and in their literature. In addition, the verification seal can appear on units and in manufacturer's marketing materials.
