Strategic Test Announces World's First Windows CE 6.0 BSP for PXA270

Woburn, USA - October 23, 2006. Strategic Test has announced the availability of the World's first Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 BSP for the Intel/Marvell PXA270 processor. The Binary Support Package (BSP) will be offered with all new purchases of the TRITON Development Kit-3 and as an upgrade for existing customers.

The Development Kit-3 was released in October 2004 and was the first reference platform to be supplied with both Linux and Windows CE 5. Regular updates to the Linux and Windows CE BSP have been published and supplied as free updates.

Key features of the Kit-3 include: TRITON-270 520 MHz CPU SODIMM module with 64 MB SDRAM and 32 MB Flash, 6" x 4" carrier board with Compact Flash Type II socket, SD/MMC socket, three RS232, USB device/host, D-SUB 15 VGA connector and 40 pin LCD connector, UCB1400 codec and touchscreen controller, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and JTAG. Operating power supply range is 8 to 24 VDC and includes transient protection suitable for automotive applications.

While most vendors charge for this, the Development Kit-3 is supplied with 12 months of free technical support and software updates. It also includes a 24 month hardware warranty.

The price of the kit is $3650 for the Linux 2.6.17 BSP version and $4450 for the Windows CE BSP.
