MENTOR, OHIO - June 2, 2011 -- STERIS Isomedix Services is pleased to announce the expansion of its gamma irradiation facility in Chester, New York. Construction is underway and the facility's third gamma irradiator is expected to be operational in spring 2012.

The expansion will allow STERIS Isomedix Services to offer Customers gamma irradiation services through five irradiators in three Northeast facilities. The company also provides ethylene oxide sterilization services in the region through two processing locations.
