Stevens Point, WI (September 2011) - Steel King Industries Inc., the industry's leader in providing quality material handling solutions since 1970, recently held its inaugural Steel King University (SKU) for Excalibur Dealers.
On July 1, 2011 Steel King launched its new Excalibur Dealer Program. The Excalibur Dealer Program replaced Steel King's successful Premier Dealer Program which had been in place since 1993. As part of the new Excalibur Dealer program, Steel King was committed to expanding the dealer training programs for Excalibur Dealers spread throughout the country. This dealer training focus was brought to fruition with the launch of Steel King University held the week of September 12th at Steel King's headquarters in Stevens Point, WI.
Seventeen Excalibur Dealer salesmen from thirteen different states attended SKU. Attendees had a broad range of industry experience, from new in the material handling industry to veterans of many years. They were put through a rigorous three days of industry trends, product training, plant tours, product demonstrations, hands-on learning activities, and real world exercises. Steel King University cumulated with a final exam and graduation.
Feedback from participants of SKU has been fantastic, with many hoping to attend SKU's Masters program in the future. Graduates of the program left with increased knowledge of Steel King and market trends, while also making many new industry friends.
