Star Thermoplastics to Introduce New Range of TPE Products at NPE
LOWER COST TPV REPLACEMENT, NEW CLEAR GRADES, WIRE AND CABLE TPE GRADE + ABILITY TO CLONE ANY OTHER TPE ON MARKET IN NEW LABORATORY
BROADVIEW, IL - At the upcoming National Plastics Exposition (NPE 2012), Orlando, April 2012, the Star Thermoplastics Division of Star Thermoplastic Rubbers & Alloys, Inc. will be highlighting at their booth/stand #59020 in the TPE Pavilion, North Hall, the following thermoplastic products and services:
o A new TPE family called StarPrene® which is comparable to the most popular TPVs on the market, but lower in cost.
o A new line of clear thermoplastics from the StarClear® line of TPEs which have excellent clarity and a host of processing and end-user benefits.
o A new line of 'safe' TPEs for pet toys and products that are offered to counter TPEs for these applications from foreign sources where the ingredients may be questionable and do not meet FDA and other US government products. StarPet® grades offer users numerous benefits.
o An expanded line of overmolding grades comparable to any TPEs currently on the marketplace. These are sold under the tradename StarFlex® TPEs.
o With their new and newly expanded rheological and instrumentation laboratories, a new service - the ability to clone or duplicate nearly any other TPE currently available on the market, at highly competitive prices, PLUS the ability to quickly and accurately develop custom formulations for standard, unique or unusual applications.
StarPrene thermoplastic elastomer is offered as a comparable, but lower cost replacement for designers, marketers and manufacturers currently using thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs). This SEBS-based TPE has similar flow characteristics with the same rheology, is easier to color, has better tensile strength and elongation than TPVs and there is no need to dry the TPE prior to processing.
The new StarClear line of TPEs has some of the best clarity characteristics in the industry, enabling users to use this material for a broad variety of applications.
New StarPet TPEs for pet toys and products for the domestic marketers and producers are not only extremely non-toxic and safe, but long lasting, easy to mold and are recyclable.
New Overmolding grades, most notably in the StarFlex line of TPEs. Star has expanded its many OM grades, with improved characteristics (both molding and end use) as well as their ability to be overmolded onto a greater range of substrates.
A Full-Service Rheological and Instrumentation Laboratory at Star Thermoplastics not only enables to get special or tweaked grade samples faster, but also enables customers to turn to Star to duplicate just about any other competitive TPE out there.
