Tarrytown, New York, April 10, 2006 ... SCHMERSAL is pleased to announce the expansion of their family of sealed, coded-magnet interlock switches to include stainless-steel models. Each features a multiple reed switch array that can only operate in the presence of the properly matched magnetic field.
Available with 1 NO and 2 NC contacts, and an optional LED status indicator, the 3.5" x 1" x 5/8" units are sealed to IP69K high-pressure (1,450 psi) and high temperature (80 degrees C) washdown requirements. These tamper-resistant safety interlocks are ideal for movable safety guards in food processing and other "washdown" applications.
When used with one of SCHMERSAL's safety controllers, the combination meets the stringent "single component failure" requirements of ANSI's B11.19 Machine Safety Standard.
Unit list prices begin at $150.00. Delivery from stock. For complete information and technical literature contact Mr. Don Miller, SCHMERSAL, Inc.; 660 White Plains Road, Suite 160; Tarrytown, NY 1059110532. Telephone: (914) 347-4775. FAX: (914) 347-1567. Web: www.schmersalusa.com.
