Belding, MICHIGAN - Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures, manufacturer of the world's most frequently specified fiberglass enclosure products is always seeking to attain new and better ways to provide customers with the most value for their business. As a result Stahlin recently achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification. ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization:
Needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
ISO 9001:2008 Provides Stahlin Customers' With These Important Assurances:
Manufacturing goals and metrics have been established. The Associates at Stahlin have begun setting goals on various levels and using metrics to gauge performance. For example, one Stahlin goal for new project business is to ensure that they are meeting needs for customers in the renewable energy sector. Their metric will be an increase of sales of enclosures to the industry along with measurable customer satisfaction of Stahlin products based on usage.
Customer feedback is welcome. Stahlin will be measuring customer opinions about the company's products and services. They will maintain a VOICE OF THE CUSTOMER (VOC) log of all internal and external issues and discusses these issues at both the plant and administrative level. This is an extension of Stahlin's acceptance of JD Power & Associates guidelines for VOC proficiency and has contributed to three consecutive years of achieving JD Power & Associates Call Center Certification.
Monthly internal audits are conducted: Stahlin Associates will perform monthly audits of all processes throughout the system to ensure that all customer needs are being met.
Preventative Action Plan. Stahlin has established a systematical search, through their internal audit findings, for potential problems.
They will correct their underlying causes before problems occur.
Regular management reviews of key business indicators and planning of improvement initiatives during monthly operational meetings.
