CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - Spiroflow Systems, Inc. has developed a comprehensive range of bulk bag handling equipment and associated closed conveyors for use in the pulp and paper industry to handle increased amounts of powdered material.
There are increased amounts of powdered material due to:
a. The trend to reuse waste paper and board where powdered materials are extensively used to de-ink and treat resultant effluent.
b. The wider use of titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxide is an ideal material pigment for paper filling with its good opacity and high brightness. It also improves paper quality in general.
c. The use of food based powdered materials such as casein, starch and gelatine is also increasing for modern pulp and paper operations.
Spiroflow Systems offers a wide range of Bulk Bag Dischargers that vary from standard models to designs for applications with height restrictions, compact space requirements as well as applications requiring delivery of material from 50 lb bags and Bulk Bags (FIBC's).
Nine different Bulk Bag Dischargers that can be customized for specific applications. A variety of enclosed mechanical conveying equipment such as flexible screw, aero-mechanical, CABLEflow and DYNAflow Tubular Drag Conveyors are also available.
Handling Powdered Material on the Rise

Due to the large quantities of materials used, many pulp and paper plants use FIBC's, instead of manually handling materials in 50 lb. bags.
