Sprint to Offer Trimble Solution for Real-Time Mobile Work Optimization

SUNNYVALE, Calif., - Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced that Sprint has become the first mobile broadband network to offer Trimble® GeoManager(TM) WorkManagement, a new scheduling and dispatch solution that helps field service companies optimize the efficiency of their mobile fleets.

Using a cloud computing-based solution on the dispatch side, the GeoManager platform for vehicle tracking and Sprint smart devices for mobile workers, Trimble WorkManagement helps companies achieve the ideal work day--where customer commitments are met and last-minute requests are easily added into the day's plan.

"WorkManagement is helping make our company more efficient," said Justin Keane, vice president of business operations for Pacific Telemanagement Services, a nationwide vendor of public communication and vending services that is field testing the Trimble mobile work optimization solution on the Sprint network. "We are saving on fuel costs, improving our drive-time efficiency and increasing our number of ticket closures."

Sprint is the first to offer Trimble's WorkManagement solution through its Emerging Solutions Group, which is designed to serve as a single-source partner that business customers can turn to for M2M (machine-to-machine) resources and expertise. Sprint provides a comprehensive set of solutions and support services that companies can use to successfully design, deploy and maintain M2M solutions.

"Trimble WorkManagement is a significant addition to Sprint's connected transportation portfolio. Our field service customers now have a powerful new tool to help them complete more jobs more efficiently, while minimizing the costs of wasted fuel, overtime or missed appointments," said Wayne Ward, vice president - Sprint Emerging Solutions Group.

The Trimble WorkManagement solution is expected to be available from Sprint's Emerging Solutions Group in June 2011.
