Sprint Launches New Small Business Website to Simplify the Search for Communications Solutions

One-Stop, Online Destination is Tailored to the Needs of Small Business Owners

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Aug 24, 2010 - Sprint has made the small business owner's reluctant trudge through overly complicated websites in search of the right communications solution a thing of the past. Sprint recently launched www.sprint.com/smallbiz, a one-stop, online destination tailored to the needs of small business owners. The site allows visitors to research, compare and buy products they want with instant gratification - or click over to www.Sprint.com/business for more choices.

According to research, a small business entrepreneur's go-to location for information on products and services is the seller's website, followed closely by word of mouth from other business owners. The value of the website as a buying resource for small businesses drove Sprint to re-think and then customize its online presence.

"We want this site to be 'the place' that small businesses go to research and buy communications services," said Judy Train, vice president-Small Business and Alternate Channels. "We also put a premium on making the site engaging with content that's specific to today's small business owner."

Content on the site is comprehensive. A Small Business Product Center provides photos and overviews of devices, data cards and wireless solutions. A pricing and offer center updates special offers and best rate plans for all sizes of small business. The Small Business media center stores a bonanza of case studies and fact sheets, videos, links and blogs and other research material to help make informed buying decisions. The Benefit center lists dozens of ancillary services like Bill Analysis that Sprint customizes for Small Businesses. For customers who want extra help or who prefer interacting with a Sprint representative, the site features a Care Center that links customers from the site to online or over-the-phone customer experience professionals.

Small business customer video testimonials and a robust selection of business applications, including small business applications for Android(TM) and BlackBerry® devices, will be added to the site in the months to come.

Featured prominently on the landing page is a link to Sprint's newly announced Customized Connections service bundles for small business. The customized bundles currently reward eligible small businesses with a $10 savings every month for combining one of Sprint's mobile broadband plans with one of its featured plans like Simply Everything or Everything Business.

The new Small Business website and Customized Connections are two of a range of initiatives from Sprint to attract the small business segment. Recently, the company appointed Train to the newly created vice president role dedicated to small business. Among her chief objectives: penetrate the small business market with dedicated resources, customized products and special offers. She also will focus on developing alternative channels for Sprint's business customers.

"Small businesses have been and will continue to be a growth engine for the economy. Sprint intends to deliver the advanced technology, network performance, device selection and customer care needed for small businesses to sustain their momentum," Train said. "Small business owners are looking for providers who understand their business and who can provide value with innovative solutions. We think a service provider like Sprint, with the best value in wireless, innovative solutions such as 4G, and tools to make their businesses more productive, is ideally suited to win over small businesses."

Small Businesses customers are served by Sprint's Business Markets Group (BMG), which is composed of sales, support, marketing and operations personnel solely dedicated to enterprise, small and medium-sized business and public sector customers. BMG delivers wireless, wireline and converged solutions for companies, drawing on its 3G wireless network, 4G capabilities, the fastest national push-to-talk network, a first-tier Global IP network and a comprehensive solutions portfolio of devices and applications.
