Brad Hopper to speak at IndustryWeek's Operational Excellence Online LIVE Web Conference

SOMERVILLE, Mass., Oct. 10 - Spotfire, a division of TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ:TIBX), today announced that competitive manufacturing companies in the United States, Europe and Asia are improving productivity, product cycle time, and reducing process costs with its analytics platform. At IndustryWeek's online conference on Operational Excellence, Brad Hopper, senior director of industry solutions for Spotfire products at TIBCO, will show how Spotfire has allowed manufacturing customers to rapidly respond to factory exceptions and proactively improve operations efficiency.

"Spotfire helps us to immediately understand signals in data of any kind, and it also gives us a platform to create process-specific applications, each with the same flexibility and visual power as the core product. At Toshiba, we've never seen software deliver productivity gains this quickly or create end user demand this high, regardless of the department where it's deployed," said Shigeru Komatsu, Chief Quality Executive and acting Chief Knowledge & Technical Infrastructure Officer, Semiconductor Company of Toshiba Corporation.

"TIBCO Spotfire enterprise analytics has allowed us to improve customer satisfaction by reducing process cost and improving product cycle time", said Nobuyoshi Matsuura, Group Manager of the Power Supply Devices Design Department, Standard Product Business Group, Renesas Technology Corporation. "These efficiencies help our bottom line, but they also allow our people to spend more time developing innovative products for the future. That's a double advantage for us and our customers."

"Traditional manufacturing software selection and deployment methods can work against continuous improvement initiatives," said Brad Hopper, Senior Director of Industry Solutions, Spotfire Division. "Spotfire links to existing factory data and systems rather than duplicating them, thereby simplifying software infrastructure and lowering total cost of ownership. It provides a single analytic environment with the flexibility to accelerate and improve a wide variety of factory business processes including product characterization, process development, equipment health and utilization, parts and spares inventory management, procurement and supplier quality, warranty analysis, competitor analysis and others."

Mr. Hopper is a featured speaker in IndustryWeek's Operational Excellence Online LIVE, a two-day, 12-session web conference being held on October 10-11, 2007. The conference will bring real-world, actionable information to time- pressed manufacturing operations executives. Mr. Hopper will present a session titled "Information Advantage: Use Analytics to Gain New Insights from Existing Data Systems."
