Youngstown, OHIO: The unique in-house research laboratory of Spirex Corporation has established a technology partnership to provide injection molders the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of Twinshot® Technology capabilities by processing parts on a KraussMaffei 320-1900 machine.
The KraussMaffei injection molding machine, newly fitted with a Twinshot® System, encompasses not only standard applications, but also a diversity of process variants and applications. Consequently, molders testing parts with Twinshot® Technology will achieve a production-grade product for accurate evaluations.
The KraussMaffei 320-1900, one of numerous molding systems in the Spirex Research Testing Lab, features a screw diameter of 60mm x 26.6:1 L/D, a maximum RPM of 195, and a maximum shot weight of 700g/24.7oz. PS. Its platen size is 41.73" x 43.11".
