The VLM10 Inline Vortex Mass Flowmeter is recognized to the process industry
Blythewood, SC - Spirax Sarco's VLM10 inline vortex mass flowmeter has been selected as a Breakthrough Product of 2012 by Processing Magazine. This award is presented each year to the manufacturing facilities where their products, services, and/or technologies have made significant contributions in the processing industries within the last year, and are expected to greatly impact the industry in the future.
Spirax Sarco first introduced the VLM10 for mass, volumetric, and energy flow measurement on steam, liquid, and gas applications in February 2012. The VLM10 combines an inline vortex meter, a built in flow computer and an integral temperature sensor giving users an elegant all in one solution for their metering needs in sizes 1" to 12".
The VLM10 is precise and reliable with a steam or gas mass flow accuracy of ± 1.5% of range over a wide 20:1 flow range. The fully welded, no gasket design, insures safe measurement of steam and allows the sensors and RTD to be removed without having to shut down the line first. The built in web server allows customers to monitor flow and monitor meter health through the internet. Digital communications delivers information on demand using Modbus RTU, BACnet MS/TP and Modbus TCP/IP technology with standard analog and pulse outputs.
In picking products for the award, judges examined their significance and uniqueness in the process industries, along with associated innovative technologies and range of application. The award is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious given in the process industries. The VLM10 will be featured in the December 2012 issue of Processing Magazine within the Breakthrough Product of the Year section.
