The Electronic Steam Boiler Controller has been selected as a winner in the 2010 Plant Engineering Product of the Year contest. This product was selected from among this year's entries as one of the most outstanding new products of 2010. Now in its 24rd year, Product of the Year is a premium honor for new products innovations that make manufacturing plants run smarter, safer and more efficiently.
Spirax Sarco first introduced the Electronic Steam Boiler Controller range in September 2010. This simple, easy to commission, safe, and trouble free product range is designed to meet the needs of a variety of industries and their associated processes. Consequently, matching the performance and operating requirements of most boiler houses.
This new comprehensive range is designed for simple installation with its unique enclosure design that allows chassis, panel or DIN rail mounting. Commissioning is carried out entirely using the front panel key pad and easy, user-friendly software menu. Investing in one of these systems will improve boiler performance and efficiency, reduce maintenance and greatly increase safety of operation - all of which will help ensure that major boiler accidents are a thing of the past. The range offered has been approved by National Standards organizations in the USA and Europe. Also, the LC3050/LP30 low level alarm system has been approved for SIL2 and SIL3 applications.
This Electronic Steam Boiler Controllers feature an infrared 'inter-controller' communication capability and remote RS485 'read only' access to controller settings and parameters. Companies submit applications to the magazine each year for consideration as a Product of the Year winner. Winners are chosen by a panel of industry experts based on the entries received. Winners will receive their award on March 21, 2011, at the Plant Engineering Manufacturing/Automation Summit in Chicago.
