Lean/Six Sigma Expert to Lead Spellman's Global Operations

HAUPPAUGE, New York - October 30, 2007 -- Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corp., has hired David Gillispie as their new Vice President of Operations. Mr. Gillispie will lead and continue to develop Spellman's operations in New York, Mexico, and China. "We are excited to have Mr. Gillispie join our team," said Loren Skeist, President of Spellman High Voltage. "David brings a rich experience in helping organizations expand their operational capabilities using his leadership and lean/Six Sigma manufacturing background."

Mr. Gillispie worked for more than 17 years in the high technology sector, and has held management or directorial positions in a broad range of industries, including nuclear engineering, power generation, and electronic packaging. Before joining Spellman he was employed as Plant Manager for Pentair Electronic Packaging. Prior to this, Mr. Gillispie held Director level positions at Capstone Turbine and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. His extensive operational experience includes leadership roles in lean manufacturing, supply chain management, and product development. Speaking of his new position at Spellman, Mr. Gillispie stated, "I am proud to become part of this dynamic, market leading manufacturing and engineering company. Mr. Gillispie is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Project Management Professional. He received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Masters in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, and holds a Masters in Business Administration from The College of William and Mary. Mr. Gillispie relocated from California to New York to join Spellman, accompanied by his wife Patty, and three children.
