Speedy Lifting's Acquisition of LGH Group plc. Opens New Doors for Lifting Gear Hire Corporation in the United States
Bridgeview, Illinois- Nov 06, 2006- Speedy Lifting has announced the general purchase of Lifting Gear Hire Group plc. (U.K. Operation) - the rigging equipment company founded by Bill Parkinson back in 1970.
Parkinson had this to say, "We are pleased with the deal and look forward to focusing our time and resources to concentrate on the remaining Parkinson family businesses including LGH Winches, LGH OnSite, operations in Europe and the USA." Although the name and logo were the same, LGHC in the United States has always been a separate division of LGH Group plc. with regards to their internal departments and financial backing.
Tony Fiscelli, General Manager of LGH's U.S. operation said, "This is a great opportunity for LGH in the U.S. The Parkinson family has maintained this area of the business for a very good reason - its growth. This year alone, LGH USA has invested well over two million dollars in rental inventory and this number will only continue to grow in the years to come with the amount of business we project."
With this move, LGH USA will be able to focus on new markets, branch openings and adding additional staff to an organization that has seen tremendous growth since it started in 1990. Currently, LGHC is ranked number 85 on the Rental Equipment Register's top 100 company list.
"This sale will allow for more resources to be invested back into the U.S. portion of the business", Fiscelli added. "Couple this with the recent expansion of our main office in Bridgeview, and we have a great formula for success."
