The electric toothed belt axis ELGA-TB-G from Festo enables design engineers to dispense with time-consuming in-house solutions and concentrate fully on their core activities. This speeds up the design process, and saves time and money.
HAUPPAUGE, NY - The electric toothed belt axis ELGA-TB-G is the ideal solution for applications where loads need to be fed externally, or where a simple plain-bearing guide with a rigid profile will do the trick. For applications where work pieces are guided externally, using an axis with plain-bearing guide is more cost-effective than an electric axis with recirculating ball bearing guide.
Versatile motor attachment
The electric toothed belt axis ELGA-TB-G has a flexible motor attachment and is compatible with all common stepper and servo motors. The motor can be mounted on any of four sides and its position can be changed at any time. The axis delivers high feed forces and achieves travel speeds of up to 5 m/s as well as acceleration of up to 50 m/s².
The PositioningDrives sizing software helps you reliably select the right axis, while the Festo Configuration Tool FCT ensures convenient and easy commissioning. The toothed belt axis ELGA-TB-G with plain-bearing guide comes in three sizes and offers a maximum working stroke of 8,500 mm.
