Speaker From Rand Corporation Added To 2007 Joint NCMS-AMT Technology Forum Agenda



ANN ARBOR, MI - May 7, 2007. A new speaker has been confirmed for the 2007 NCMS-AMT Technology Forum being held August 13-15 in Baltimore, Maryland. This year's forum "Shift Happens" will address the seismic changes that are shaking the manufacturing landscape (alternative energy, sustainability, nanomanufacturing, off-shoring) and be held in conjunction with AMT, the Association for Manufacturing Technology. The forum will specifically address how government and industry can collaborate to drive technological innovation.

Dr. Richard Silberglitt, Rand Corporation, "The Global Technology Revolution, 2020 - Material and Manufacturing." has been added as a featured speaker.

Dr. Silberglitt is experienced in performing, evaluating, and managing research in ceramics, magnetic materials, superconductivity, joining of advanced materials, microwave processing of materials, solar energy, and other advanced technology areas. He was co-author of a foresight study for the National Intelligence Council of global trends in bio-, nano-, and materials technologies and their synergies with information technology by 2015.
