SAN FRANCISCO - Sollega is proud to announce that we will present the improved InstaRack racking system for the first time at the Intersolar 2012. The InstaRack ballasted solar racking system is engineered for flat roof solar installations. The system is quick to install and has the least number of parts when compared with other racking systems currently on the market. Manufactured from HDPE (high-density polyethylene) with a built-in UV inhibitor, the InstaRack is engineered to withstand years of exposure in the harshest environments. It utilizes a minimum of 35% recycled content and is manufactured in the US and Canada.
With the InstaRack system, it is possible to install up to three kW per hour per person. The system works with one standard bolt size and requires only one tool for assembly. Pre-installed bolts and channel nuts ensure that all connections are performed top-down and are easily accessible for use of power tools. The InstaRack system provides integrated grounding with the use of a bonding jumper, which greatly reduces grounding hardware and installation time with the InstaRack. The entire array is grounded through the strut rail. We utilize a Wiley Weeb at each module to ensure proper bonding.
The InstaRack is a hybrid mounting system. It can be installed fully ballasted or with optional mechanical attachments for seismic and high wind load requirements. Its installation flexibility makes it easy to work around roof obstacles and contour to variations in the roof deck. The InstaRack is wind tunnel tested up to 145 mph in accordance with ASCE 7-05. The system is available in tilt angles of 10 and 15 degrees and is compatible with all solar modules 30" to 44" in width.
