WHAT: Solarflare will showcase standards-based 10 Gigabit Ethernet silicon solutions and reference designs for the next level in high-performance Ethernet networking with Fen Systems at the LinuxWorld Etherboot Project booth.

Ratified in June 2006, the IEEE 10GBASE-T standard allows for the easy transition from Gigabit Ethernet to 10GbE over standard copper twisted pair cabling. Real and ready for primetime, the first wave of 10GBASE-T products, including the Solarflare® 10Xpress transceiver silicon and the Solarstorm(TM) SFC4000 10G server controllers, have been announced and are now sampling. The growing Solarflare 10 Gigabit Ethernet ecosystem includes robust, cost-effective and power efficient switch and server NIC reference designs that have been tested for interoperability and are ready for data center and enterprise network deployment.
